Acquiesced

The wait was over now, after a long time.
Time to depart from their company
They accompanied me all through my way,
By the time I turned back to see them, the angels flew away.

Time had come to land up.
It took 60 days to touch down.
The couple waiting down to receive me,
Just like the sunflower waiting for the buzzing bees.

The place of stay was wonderful.
Cozy and dark, safe and sound.
Not much of a place to play around,
For I became a heaven’s prisoner.

I circled around here and there,
Kicking and punching around.
She felt that every moment of it.
With smile in her face and tears in her eyes.

Ten months of solitary confinement.
Time to get bailed and see the external world.
Half masked people adamant to see me out.
Carefully escorted for a Hero’s welcome.

I took her hand to walk around,
She helped me to talk aloud,
Wrapped her in her arms tight,
I lay there crying all time making her’s sleepless nights.

Time whisked away everything.
Happiness and sorrows,
Laughter and cry,
Victory and defeat
Except for the love she had for me.

It has been 22 years since I made my debut.
Growing tall and athletic which every mother would want.
I could see the grey hair sprouting from her head.
It was time for her to get some rest.

Love is coloured in white,
For it symbolizes purity,
I have seen it in her for ages now.
Too dumbfounded to realize that it has remained unstained.

Yet again I had to depart.
I flew away from her to make a fortune
She stood there gazing at the skies.
Hoping I would return to her soon with tears in her eyes.

Man has to be wise enough to understand sometimes,
That separation is intangible.
Brooding over it would not help life to be at ease.
Its better that we get “Acquiesced”
