Fields of Gold

I remember these days,

Looking at the sky for a way

The clouds too were not interested,

Except that brightness of the sun teasing my eye.

The wind at its elegant best.

Looking at the calm sea,

Holding your warm hand,

We strolled on the shore.

So I took your hand,

And gazed awhile,

Those lovely lips stretching laterally,

It was the moment of my life.

The clouds gathered and the wind blew.

You rose to kiss my lips,

The warmth of that soft flesh

Made me forget the sorrows.

You are like the petals of the rose,

Soft, colourful and fragrant.

The subtle aroma of yours,

Faints even the strongest of bees.

I had kept my promises to you,

Not that I have not broken any,

You were easier to convince,

But it was easier thought than done.

Will you come again and accept me

Thoughts of you pounding me everyday,

Unable to let you know my feelings.

I lay in bed staring at the ceiling,

I have no regrets, my love

I don’t know what took u so long

But your beautiful picture is still afresh,

Just like the morning dew.

Though I can feel your absence,

The days with you were effervescent.

Whenever you were there for me

Moments with you, were like

Living in fields of gold.
